Our Structure of Associations
The National Baptist Convention of Namibia is grouped into four Associations. The Northern Association
(Owamboland), North-East Association (Kavango Land), Central Association and Southern Association.
Our History
A brief history of the Baptist Church in Namibia:
2009
A new name was established under the authority of the National Baptist Convention of Namibia.
1997
The Baptist Council at the time established and came up with a new name, the Baptist Convention of Namibia, with a new management.
1986
The Namibian Baptist Church got a new name called Bantu Baptist Church of Namibia.
1982
The Baptist church was established in the town of Rundu, Namibia, by Rev. Kandume, with American missionary Rev. Carlos Owens, and Rev. Moses Tololi.
1967
Rev. Charles Whitson, American missionary, brought the Baptist Church to Namibia.
